H I S T O R Y

The General Conference has supported mission work in Nigeria, Ghana, Nova Scotia, Liberia, Philippine Islands, India, Uruguay, Mexico, Ecuador, Canada, Pakistan, South Korea, Lebanon, Egypt, Peru, England, Haiti, Malawi, Mozambique, Kenya & Uganda.

  • 1912

    Dr. and Mrs. Taylor of Bridgeton, Maine, served as missionaries in India.  This marks the start of mission work in the General Conference.  One of the converts, Charles Vedantachari, led the work on the ground.

  • 1952

    A National Missionary Society was established by the Priscillas.  Ada Simpson of Grand Rapids, Michigan served as the first chairman.  

  • 1954

    The Department of Evangelism and Missions was recognized as an official minisitry of the General Conference. 

  • 1977

    An emphasis was placed on sending long-term missionaries to the fields to plant churches. 

  • 1993

    Lord's Harvest International was born at the 73rd Annual General Conference in Lafayette.

    Lord's Harvest International continues to thrive due to the commitment and support of people like you to spread the Gospel around the world.
